Finance Manager
 
Job Description

Hands on accounting and finance leadership position that accurately maintains or supervises all of the financial records of the organization in a organized, timely and responsible for the integrity of the financial records and reports.  This position supports the Executive Director in all financial analysis, records and reports both internally and externally in a professional manner consistent with GAAP accounting for non profits. The Finance Manager accounts for all cash and investments of the organization in a timely and prudent manner and assists in the budgeting and strategic planning functions.

Educational Requirement
  • BS degree in accounting
  • MBA and CPA, preferred

Experience and skills:

  • Seven years accounting experience  -  three years in non profit
  • Excellent computer skills – MIP is mandatory and very good skills in MS office
  • Strong accounting and information systems background

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of general ledger
  • Oversees and supervises accounting staff
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and current regulations
  • Maintain efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting information system
  • Perform month end close, reconciliation of accounts and financial reports
  • Coordinate with outside CPA regarding audits and other fiscal concerns
  • Prepare schedules and other reports as needed
  • Provide direct support in preparing the budget documentation and reports
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding internal control procedures
  • Provide financial statement analysis
