| Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Regional Director is to implement the vision, grow and sustain the youth and family ministries of communities in their home region. A primary responsibility is to ensure that “customer satisfaction” is achieved in all areas of the department and that the vision and goals of the Global Heart are consistently demonstrated through all communications and relationships effectively, efficiently and with a high level of excellence.
Educational Requirement:
- UCSL Minister or Licensed Practitioner
- Advanced Degree or Training in Youth & Family Programs
Experience and skills:
- Working familiarity with the UCSL organizational model and the Global Heart Vision
- 3-5 years progressive experience leading and directing a successful Youth and Family ministry or community program
- Proven track record in leadership, team building, event/training planning and implementation, and volunteer coordination
- The articulation of a personal and compelling vision for Youth and Family ministries in his/region and for the United Church of Religious Science
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability to communicate effectively with Church leadership, staff, and covenant members as required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Articulate the vision of International Youth and Family Ministry
- Inspire, manage, motivate and support the youth of our movement and their guardians within a specific region.
- With the support of IYFM staff and resources, implement the on-going evolution of our youth programs to nurture, inspire, educate and empower our covenanted members and their youth and family programs
- In partnership with Leadership Council and Managing Director design, coordinate and implement trainings, events and activities within home region.
- Available inside and outside of our organization to be the representative of UCSL International Youth and Family Ministries
- Excellence and professionalism in all of the interactions with our youth, guardians and other professional relationships
- Coordinate the implementation of programs in region, including but not limited to:
- Young Adult Programs, Campus Ministries, regional camps, pre-teen and teen programs, elders and intergenerational activities, programs for young children, parenting and family support and programs.
- In cooperation with the Leadership Council, Managing Director, Community Spiritual Leader, Youth Community Spiritual Leader and Ecclesiastical Core Coordinator cultivate partnerships with RSI, Unity and other New Thought organizations to combine and expand shared youth and family resources in each region
